About BNEW SAN SA Cloud & Applications
Business Unit Networks (BNEW) Service Area Networks (SAN) has established a Service Area (SA) called Cloud & Applications (C&A). Its main mission is to provide best in class services categorized as Infrastructure, Platform, and Software as a Service (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) that support R&D’s end to end development pipeline. These services that cater to the R&D development and test workloads, shall be fully safeguarded, be highly available (powered by E2E monitoring, automation, analytics, and self-healing), and be orderable through a self-service User portal provisioned in order of minutes.
The position is placed within unit Technology and Portfolio which is responsible for the Architecture and Portfolio roadmaps as well as stakeholder management and Security.
As a SA Cloud & Applications Service Architect, you are acting as the key interface between our C&A organization and its stakeholders when it comes to managing your part of the C&A architecture, in this case for the Linux Service in Platform as a Service.
Create and maintain architecture
Support development and evolution of C&A Environment capabilities so that they adhere to the high-level architecture
Governance of C&A Environment activities to secure alignment with the high-level architecture
Support governance of lower-level architectures, development, and evolution
Support C&A Environment in the alignment of tools, services, and capabilities
Establishment and maintenance of architectural descriptions (artifacts) in different views such as technology, application and information views
Stakeholder management skills
Ability to transform strategy and needs into action
Ability to work on executive levels, providing high-level business analysis of stakeholder needs,
Assets (and expectations on learning capabilities)
Good understanding of R&D test and design environments and related R&D ways of working, tools, and concepts dealing with Cloud, Automation, Orchestration, and Data Centers as well as Information mgmt., Security
Knowledge on IT infrastructure, Network, Storage, IaaS, PaaS and SaaS service offerings,
5+ years of related architecture experience in the domain area
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline
Fluent in English. Written and oral
Proven Consultative, team working and interpersonal skills with excellent relationship management capabilities
