Our team in Oulu RF R&D is responsible for RF unit development for Nokia 5G products.
Now we are looking for several experienced, enthusiastic and talented persons to join our R&D teams. You will have a state of the art tools and methods available for your job with a highly motivated and experienced team.
You will contribute as well for SW specification and implementation as SW testing and verification.
You will work as an SW designer in the RFSW area in close co-operation with 5G, HW, I&V, and production teams. Your tasks may include
software specification
SW design and implementation, test planning, testing and problem-solving and debugging.
Responsibilities
Main Responsibility is the development of an RF unit for Nokia 5G products together with our global teams.
Specification of 5G features and RFSW functionalities
Design and implementation of RF software
Plan and execute SW testing
Product maintenance and continuous improvement
Qualifications
A strong background in architecture and specification work related to FPGA/ASIC/SoC, and signal processing systems development.
Preferably solid skills in embedded C programming and scripting (Ruby, Python or similar).
Excellent understanding of FPGA and ASIC development flows.
General understanding of Matlab and physical layer simulations.
General understanding of programmable processing architectures, such as RISC and DSP processors
Excellent understanding of IP and subsystem based SoC development.
Excellent understanding of operating systems and agile software development.
Experience Requirements
Your detailed role will be based on your experience and your personal preferences.
Experience in C/C++ software design in embedded systems
Experience in HW peripherals, real-time programming, and operating systems
Experience in debugging and problem-solving
Knowledge of version control systems
Knowledge of software architecture basics
Knowledge of telecommunications
Following are beneficial:
Knowledge of radio networks and RF measurement equipment
Experience in scripting languages
Experience in continuous integration
Education Requirements
BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar
Skills
Strong analytical skills
Effective teamwork skills
