Position Summary:

Sony Corporation of America (SCA) is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented information technology, security, or audit professional for an Information Technology Audit Intern position based in our San Diego, CA office. This position will report to the IT Audit Senior Manager and will be part of the audit team responsible for assisting with Sony’s North and South American-based electronics companies, global PlayStation gaming company and commerce platform, as well as global physical and digital media replication and distribution. This position will also provide support to its US-based IT and corporate functions. This position is expected to be a year round role so, a commitment during the school year and summer is required.

Availability of 20 hours during the school year and up to 40 hours during the summer.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation, execution, reporting, and follow-up of Information Technology and Security audits.
Participate in the planning, execution and, reporting of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) testing.
Contribute to departmental projects such as audit tool development, data analysis, creation of executive presentations, and other internal projects as requested.
Function as part of a team or operate independently as required.
Learn the Sony organization and develop relationships to help the department improve its contributions

Experience Requirements

Knowledge and experience in any of the following areas is desirable:
Networking: Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Wireless, VLAN, IPS/IDS, etc.
Operating Systems: UNIX, Linux, Windows, MVS, OS 400, etc.
Directory Services: Active Directory, LDAP, etc.
Cloud and Virtual Environments: AWS, Azure, VMware, etc.
IT/Info Security Frameworks: CoBIT, ISO, ITIL, etc.
Information Security Operations: Vulnerability Assessment, Network Security, Security Monitoring and Incident Response, etc.
Business Applications: SAP, Oracle ERP, Navision, Great Plains, Hyperion, etc.
Data Analytics
Programming/Coding

Education Requirements

The prior internship experience is preferred but not required.

Skills

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
