Responsibilities

As part of the ION Customer Engineering UK&I Hub organization, the purpose of this role is to actively contribute to the following tasks across the EMEA region.

- Contribute to Quality Product Testing for new pre-DR4 products and to Common Validation Testing of a brand new post DR4 products and releases
- Take responsibility for definition and execution of demos, proof of concept, type approvals tests, field trials, and in general any New Product Introduction (NPI) activity with our customer for any new product or solution
- Be accountable from definition to validation/acceptance by the customer - working with mature elements of our portfolio
- Take responsibility and accountability for generic test plans for customer lab evaluations
- Create, reviews and approves Methods of Procedures prior to implementation
- Be responsible for supporting major initial network deployments across the EMEA region
- Develop, verify and document upgrade procedures in customer’s networks
- Maintain lab equipment for customer demos, investigations, validation tests etc.
- Train Customer Delivery members on new products/features

The position requires strong technical skills in one or more of the following areas
- Designing, commissioning and maintaining of DWDM networks (Nokia portfolio):
· 1830PSS-4/16/32
· 1830PSS-36/64/8x/24x
· 1830PSS-8/16II
· GMPLS L0 and L1, MRN
· L2 over DWDM
- Migration, administration, and O&M of:
· 1350OMS
· NFM-T

Experience Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in troubleshooting, problem-solving skills and working experiences of Nokia Optics and 1350OMS portfolio.
Preferred Certifications including: “1350 0MS for 1830 PSS management”, “1830 PSS family" is an advantage.

Education Requirements

Master’s degree in computer, Electronics, Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent disciplines,

Ability to travel (both domestic and abroad).
Languages: Fluent English.
