Responsibilities
Covers the methodologies and technologies related to the creation, delivery and sustaining of the software, firmware, and tools infrastructure ingredients of the product.
Works in an interdisciplinary environment with program management, system, hardware, and validation engineers to address design and architecture tradeoffs, feasibility studies and define the detailed delivery plan.
Actively participates in the product life cycle from requirements definitions through design and into subsystem and system integration and sustaining.
Qualifications
Good understanding of Agile development methodologies.
Demonstrate versatility in software engineering across a variety of current programming and scripting languages.
Expert-level knowledge with Linux driver frameworks, kernel development and system architecture of x86.
Good understanding and experience with virtualization technologies including Intel VT-d, KVM/Xen, Windows Hyper-v, etc.
Experience Requirements
7+ years of development experience mainly on Linux kernel/drivers, PCIe devices preferred, delivering commercial products and upstreaming code in Linux kernel. Knowledge in the whole software stack is a plus.
3+ years of experience in leading architecture design for Linux drivers and/or system software.
Experience with computing acceleration programming using FPGAs, GPU or Intel Xeon Phi is a plus
Experience with OpenStack and/or machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Caffe is a plus.
Experience in RTL programming for FPGA is a plus.
Experience with Git, Gerrit, and continuous integration workflow and tools.
