Individual contributor with primary responsibility for developing tests, tools and automated scripts in an Agile development model, providing quality input and assessments for Scrum teams.

The successful candidate will be participating in the implementation and testing of SimpliVitys product features, provide leadership and guidance in the Scrum team to ensure testability and automation.

Responsibilities

Enable rapid product delivery by automating tests and test suites, adding them to the test inventory and making them available to the Agile/Scrum teams for use in Continuous Integration development environment
Create test strategies and test cases that validate the feature developed by the Scrum team, and ensures the accuracy of the requirements from the customer
Contribute to system, stress, metrics, and customer-oriented scenarios by working cross-functionally with Customer Solutions Agile test teams to incorporate features in Solutions environments
Develop new automated tools and modify automated frameworks as needed to support feature development in an Agile development model

Qualifications

Knowledge of test processes and methodologies including design for test and test design for automation
Understanding of data storage
Experience in OO Perl, Perl, Python or equivalent scripting language
Knowledge of the software development life cycle with an emphasis on Agile
Proven ability to understand complex software design and algorithms, and design / develop testing approaches for them.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:
Knowledge of VMware datacenter tools, including vSphere, vCenter at API / SDK level.
Knowledge of RAID, data integrity testing and disk workload analysis
Experience with C#, GUI automation, Testlink, Trail or similar Test Management tools
Experience working within an Agile development team

Experience Requirements

Experience with storage product development in a quality role with a focus on testing in a virtualized environment and automating tests to perform in a predictable and repeatable manner
Experience with storage product testing and storage protocols, distributed file systems, IP networking and testing in distributed system environments
Experience developing and automating tests at the component, functional and system level
Experience as a member of an engineering team that developed critical IT infrastructure products.

Education Requirements

BS + 3 years experience
The candidate should have a degree in Computer Science or an equivalent engineering discipline.
