Backend Lead

Ericsson Group Data and Analytics is looking for a backend lead that will manage the design and development of the backend data systems in accordance to enterprise data architect solution. Works with and alongside the Digital team and the business users to determine, build, implement, and manage an enterprise-wide data architect solution.

Lead the backend database development along with defining the details of a workstream, managing the developers and prioritization in collaboration with the product manager
Interact with business and capable of understanding how data needs to be structured for consumption
Collect, blend, and transform data using ETL tools, database management system tools, and code development (e.g., SQL, Spark, Python)
Determines architectural requirements and designs in collaboration with data architect and develops the data solution for the product
Develops logical data models by extending conceptual models
Develops analysis models using statistical analysis tools, data mining, and other tools to create high-level data architecture diagram documenting system and data flows
Evaluates alternatives for integrating legacy data sources with enterprise relational models
Work closely with the application development team on integration requirement between application and data layer
Perform aggregations on data across various warehousing models (e.g., OLAP cubes, star schemas) for BI purposes
Implements and guides team on implementation of governance, stewardship, and frameworks requirements
Establishes the best practice of data governance, data quality, and Master Data Management for the project
Provide coaching and guidance to backend data developers on technology, architecture, and process

Extensive background and expertise in developing and managing data technologies, technical operations, and related tools and technologies
Working knowledge of IT governance frameworks, concepts, methodologies, and modeling techniques

Minimum of 5-years of data management systems, data warehousing methodology, data quality, data modeling, data governance, analytics, and predictive modeling.
Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Hive, and Pig, Cloudera, or large data warehousing initiatives.
Demonstrated experience translating business and technical requirements into comprehensive software solutions
Significant experience in developing and implementing reusable data services

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline
