Responsibilities
Ensure the IT Infrastructure landscape meets the digital transformation and business needs of ALARIS. He or she will do this by working with the IT Director/CIO and the ALARIS leadership team to update and enhance the overall infrastructure roadmap and deployment plans. This role will be responsible for working with an outsourced partner to ensure the Service Level Agreements for the existing infrastructure are being met as well as to ensure any new development work is delivered on time and on the budget in line with the deployment plans.
The IT Architect/Infrastructure Manager will:
Update and enhance the overall roadmap and architecture that aligns with the digital transformation and business goals of ALARIS
Ensure the outsourced partner meets all the Service Level.
Working directly with the outsource partner providing the resources that maintain and support the existing environment
Utilize communication, analytical skills and knowledge of best practices to assess opportunities to apply infrastructure solutions to business problems and opportunities.
Ensure that development projects match business needs and requirements
Oversee the work with the third-party of ensuring flawless deployment of all infrastructure components
Oversee the technical design and installation of enhancements and upgrades to the infrastructure
Research and make recommendations on new products, services, and designs
Ensure the uptime of the existing infrastructure by designing and assist with the creation of dashboards for reporting purposes.
Ensure standards/procedures for implementing the technical solution are followed and enforced
Work with the Project Management Office to ensure there are project plans for all infrastructure projects
Approve all changes prior to any implementation
Experience Requirements
10+ years of experience in managing an infrastructure group
10+ years of experience in managing an outsourced relationship
Proven track record of working with all levels of the organization, both technical and non-technical
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in the field of information technology, engineering, computer science and / or business administration (required)
Skills
Solid understanding of all aspects of networks including, local and wide area networks, routers, switches firewalls, etc.
Technical acumen to review, and assist with the development and deployment of networks
Experience with leading and managing a server and telecommunications team
Understanding and past management of "co-lo" data centers
Ability to understand financial models such as ROI to ensure projects are financially viable
Ability to identify gaps and areas that need improvement
Leadership capabilities to direct and prioritizes the work load of the third-party outsourcer
Understand and integrate business strategies and trends in technology to deliver value
Strong writing, speaking and presentation skills
Business acumen to perform evaluations and create and assess vendor contracts
Interpersonal skill to represent the IT function at customer review meeting when appropriate
Demonstrate strategic thinking; can map organizational vision and long-term thinking, imagination, and idea generation into technical solutions
Exceptional ability to lead change using positive and collaborative methods
Willingness to build relationships by having the ability to listen, build rapport and credibility with leadership, functional teams and third-party outsourcers
Have high energy, focus, assertiveness, and diplomacy - know when to push an agenda and when to let a situation develop, rest, or advance
