As a Cloud Architect, you will be a key player in determining the future of enterprise cloud imaging. This is an exciting and wide-ranging opportunity with responsibilities encompassing microservices strategy, cloud, and edge vendor selections, cloud vendor readiness planning and testing, cloud migration planning, DR/ST/I/SaaS solutions and more. You will operate in a highly cross-functional team environment among top-level experts in the enterprise medical informatics industry.
Physical Requirements:
The position requires the ability to perform the following physical demands and/or have the listed capabilities.
The ability to sit up 75-100% of applicable work time.
The ability to use your hands and fingers to feel and manipulate items, including keyboards, up to 100% of applicable work time.
The ability to stand, talk, and hear for 75% of applicable work time.
The ability to lift and carry up to ten pounds up to 20% of applicable work time.
Close Vision: The ability to see clearly at twenty inches or less.
Responsibilities
Lead in architecture design, technology evaluation, and selection for existing and new cloud-based service offerings.
Drive intensive readiness testing across all selected cloud platforms.
Work closely with tech vendors, partners, and design services firms.
Coordinate and/or directly contribute to system implementation and optimization.
Research technical alternatives and develop strategies to succeed.
Evaluate new technologies, ideas, concepts, and designs.
Be a market and product expert. Develop IT strategies to ensure networking, compute and storage infrastructure meets existing and future requirements based on needs and regulations.
Qualifications
Expert level understanding of on-premise/edge infrastructure design (storage, compute, network).
Expert level understanding of current vendor technology offerings in the hybrid cloud space.
SD-WAN design and implementation.
Healthcare IT with imaging informatics experience preferred.
Deep understanding of various services and solutions - DRaaS, SaaS, IaaS along all cloud models (public, private, hybrid, multi).
Deep level architecture knowledge of the leading public cloud providers.
Experience Requirements
5+ years of experience in cloud-specific IT functions.
Technical expert in cloud and on-prem computing, storage and networking architecture.
Experience architecting and moving cloud-based healthcare enterprise imaging products or services to market preferred.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, equivalent work experience considered.
4 year CS or related degree preferred will consider equivalent work experience.
Skills
Self-driven, willing to take initiative, and able to execute the vision relentlessly.
Demonstrated ability to lift and shift existing applications to public, private, hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
