About the Department:
The Technology Department develops and maintains all of Extreme’s consumer and internal products, with a specific focus on our front-end website (extrememusic.com), content management system (“Backstage”), and CRM. We work with multiple development teams to deploy new features, products, and systems to keep Extreme on the cutting edge of production music.
Role Objectives:
You will be working with the Technology Director and teams across the company to answer questions about user behavior and product performance, ensuring data-driven decision-making that will shape which features, products, and services get pushed to (or maintained in) production. You’ll use your own curiosity to formulate new questions and interrogate our data to deliver insights and recommendations.

Responsibilities
Create, measure, and document KPIs relevant to business needs and internal teams.
Act as the main liaison between departments to ensure data accuracy and uniform understanding of key metrics, escalating issues as necessary to the development or implementation teams.
On-demand analysis: evaluate and respond to questions from development, marketing, and sales teams to assist with their short- and long-term decision-making.
Deep-dive analysis: study and visualize data to uncover trends and opportunities related to how users are interacting with our products.
Maintain analytics systems: check for completeness, accuracy, and understandable lexicon, then oversee the implementation of any new data points or sources.
Make informed predictions about user behavior, assess and validate with A/B tests, and recommend changes based on findings.
Create and maintain automated dashboards for non-technical users to promote self-service for common questions.
Work with the information systems analyst to perform regular reviews of live systems and ensure that they are meeting their stated goals.
Work closely with the development teams to understand and anticipate their analytics needs.
Qualifications

Ability to collaborate and communicate with colleagues at various levels, including management, staff, development teams, and vendors.
Strong working knowledge of SQL and experience in Python and/or R.
Familiarity with common web and social tools like Google Analytics, Facebook Analytics, etc.
Familiarity with Jira is a plus.

Experience Requirements
Experience working with visualization and dashboarding tools like Tableau (Power BI is a plus).
Experience using Mixpanel or similar business analytics tools.
Education Requirements
Degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or another quantitative discipline.
Skills
Must be self-motivated and creative, with proven analytical skills, excellent research record, and ability to communicate effectively
Flexibility and adaptability to work and collaborate with researchers in global locations
Must be able to travel domestically and internationally if required
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Strong writing and presentation skills.
