NAPE Mission

Support DENSO Business Groups from a regional perspective in Production Engineering
Develop world-class, innovative production technologies that can help solve the North American region's manufacturing issues
Support the North American HeadCount Reduction initiative by focusing on high-value processes that have some difficulty in automating the existing process
Contribute to enhancing the competitiveness in the field of manufacturing by strengthening PE capability

Responsibilities

Essential Functions: Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

Support identifying Headcount Reduction Activities at various DENSO North American facilities
Assume a lead role in creating Concept, Draft Specification and Draft Quotation-(from machine supplier) for Headcount Reduction projects
Create prototypes to support "Proof of Concept" as needed
Create and maintain a schedule for your respective projects
Negotiation to build consensus with Business Group Production Engineering and Production for agreement and consensus with project scope
Lead and/or support creating Final Specification, DR material, Procurement material as needed
Support other initiatives that promote the solution of Regional Manufacturing Problems
Topics change each Fiscal Year, This year's pillars are 3D Bin Picking, AI Vision Inspection, and Logistics Automation –(AS/RS focus)

Experience Requirements

3 years in Experience in Production Engineering, Industrial Machine Design or related field
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in creating automation concepts and specifications
Experience with AutoCAD or other 2D drafting software

Education Requirements

BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering

Skills

Self-starter with the ability to function in a fluid and flexible setting
Ability to effectively meet deadlines and manage time in a stressful environment
International and domestic travel as needed, usually
