Description
Riddell is seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to join the Marketing Communications (MarCom) team located at our Corporate office in Des Plaines, IL. This small, but mighty in-house team services stakeholders across the business, including executives/company leadership, sales, product development, both the hard goods and apparel departments and external clients. You will be an integral part of the team, working on high-quality design projects from concept to production and final execution. The Graphic Designer needs to be highly creative, organized, detail-oriented and preferably interested in the sports industry, predominantly football.
Please provide a portfolio of recent work that demonstrates your design skills and creativity.
Responsibilities
Create a variety of digital assets, such as web graphics, social media, video and PowerPoint presentations
Create a variety of print assets, such as event signage, flyers, product packaging, and other print collateral
Help design the company product catalogs for both print and digital publication
Collaborate internally to plan, manage, produce and creatively direct annual content photo/video shoots, including minimal travel to on-site locations
Contribute ideas for new and existing marketing campaigns
Design content for Riddell social channels that convey appropriate messaging to chosen target audiences
Capture product photography and videography in various settings, such as in-studio or on-field, with the complimentary skillset of post-production
Create layouts for hard goods and apparel departments that reflect the current sports design trends
Collaborate with the communications team on internal and external communications or media-related projects, including video, newsletters, email, social and web
Uphold the Riddell brand guidelines while keeping content fresh and innovative
Qualifications
Able to work independently and as a part of our team
Proven ability to consistently meet tight deadlines while multi-tasking
Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
Interest in working in the corporate office environment with some flexibility
Interest in sports culture (particularly football) and social media trends preferred
Experience Requirements
2-4 years graphic design, marketing or related experience
Experience working with project manager and project management software preferred
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing or related field
Skills
Advanced working knowledge of print and web Adobe Creative Suite products (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, etc.)
Photography skills highly desired, including knowledge of studio lighting, equipment needs, etc.
Intermediate to an advanced working knowledge of video editing and animation software (Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects)
Good working knowledge of MS Office
Digital illustration skills a plus
Self-starter who can take artistic direction, absorb it quickly and consistently and contribute ideas
