Oracle Database Administrator – RIM Department
The job purpose is to work within a remote infrastructure support team. You will be administrating and maintaining a number of Oracle Databases for our Customers. You will be part of a fast-growing RIM facility located in Lodz with a focus on establishing the global service delivery department.

Responsibilities

Perform daily database administration job
DB installation / configuration / upgrade,
Monitoring
Maintenance
Security management
Work closely with users and application developers to gain an accurate understanding of their business requirements.
Establish and enforce standards and guidelines as set by the firm’s methodology.
Assist in educating application groups about data administration functions.
Respond to issues and help the user community appropriately and escalate the issues responsibly.
Validate process model with data model to ensure data is adequate for application creation.
Perform business process re-engineering on current models for possible improvements, such as automation of manual activities.
To follows established procedures, recommend improvements and resolve inquiries, issues or problems. To document actions taken for continuous service improvement
To take ownership of the issues identified. To co-operate with an account team and/or vendor support to provide technical input into incident and problem resolution process
To escalate issues as necessary to deliver the required service level
Be proactive! Take responsibility for learning about current products, systems build and infrastructure layouts to support daily business requirements

Qualifications

Oracle 10g,11g experience. Oracle 12c knowledge will be an asset
Possibility to Manage RAC ONE NODE, RAC HA solutions, SQL performance tuning, cloning DB
Nice to have: knowledge of other Database Platforms (MS SQL, MySQL, DB2)

Experience Requirements

RAC, ASM and DataGuard experience will be an asset.
Operating System and Infrastructure experience with Linux, Windows Server, Unix, Solaris.
Nice to have: experience with performance ASH / AWR / ADDM reports on Oracle databases

Education Requirements

B.D. in C.S.

Skills

B1 level (or higher) of Spoken and Written English including technical vocabulary
Keen to learn/discuss and follow through an issue with data-driven approach
Self-motivated team player with great communication skills and business understanding
