Nokia Bell Labs is seeking Specialists to work in our Standardization Research Lab. You will work in developing our simulator platforms to support 3GPP research and standardization. A candidate should have a background in software development and radio system or link simulations, and have expertise on wireless technologies, in particular, cellular technologies.
Responsibilities
Develop new features for Nokia in-house simulation platforms (RF, link or system level) used by a significant number of researchers.
Help in maintaining software development processes, ensuring code quality and up-to-date documentation.
Participate in 3GPP standardization work, developing concepts together with the global team.
Responsible for performance evaluations to supporting 3GPP discussions in a timely manner
Qualifications
Proven skills in Matlab and/or C and C++ development, Python skills considered as an asset.
Fluent with Linux environment
Understanding of cellular radio technologies (LTE, NR)
Deep understanding of mathematical modeling of radio links/systems
Understanding of basic AI/ML techniques considered as an asset
Experience Requirements
Experience with multiuser software development and related tools (e.g. Git, JIRA, ...)
Experience of Continuous Integration (CI) Testing (e.g. Jenkins)
Experience in RF simulation, and/or link and/or system-level radio simulations
Education Requirements
MSc or Ph.D. preferably from the field of telecommunications but also other fields like electronics, computer science, mathematics or physics are considered
Skills
Self-motivated and passionate
Team player and ability to adapt to and work in international and multi-site virtual teams, good interpersonal skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, can express him/herself fluently in English
Very strong analytical skills and eager to find innovative/disruptive solutions to problems
